The research project will study the nature and extent of corporate obligations to respect economic and social human rights. The aim of the study is to analyse and provide a comprehensive overview of the existing extent and legal nature of corporate obligations to respect economic and social human rights. The project will focus on the general research question of whether corporations have any obligations in relation to human rights arising from economic and social human rights.
The project is financed by the Slovenian Research Agency in accordance with the Call for Proposals to Receive (Co-)Financing for Research Projects in 2012 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 86/2011 of 28 October 2011).
The project will be realised within a period of two years and will take place in the form of the candidate's independent research work, which will be integrated with his teaching activities and international scientific collaborations. The results of the project will be published in a scientific monograph and several original scientific articles and presented at various international conferences.
